Booking and Payment
A deposit is required to reserve an offshore fishing trip, and the booking is not confirmed until the deposit has been received. The remaining balance is due on or before the day of departure unless otherwise agreed in writing. Prices may vary based on trip duration, fuel costs, target species, number of passengers, and special requests.
Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Weather
Trips may be rescheduled when unsafe weather, rough seas, mechanical issues, or other conditions beyond the operator’s control prevent safe departure. Weather-related decisions are made solely by the captain, whose priority is passenger safety. Customer cancellations may result in forfeiture of the deposit or other charges depending on how close the cancellation occurs to the scheduled departure. No-shows may be charged the full trip amount.
Safety, Captain’s Authority, and Passenger Conduct
All passengers must follow the captain’s instructions at all times. The captain may modify the trip route, target species, departure time, return time, or fishing location based on sea conditions, safety concerns, regulations, or operational needs. Unsafe, disruptive, intoxicated, or illegal behavior may result in refusal of boarding or termination of the trip without refund. Drugs, weapons, and glass containers are prohibited unless expressly permitted by the operator.
Licenses, Permits, and Fishing Regulations
Passengers are responsible for complying with all applicable state and federal fishing laws, including seasons, size limits, bag limits, possession limits, gear rules, and prohibited species. Depending on the trip location and target species, anglers may need a basic fishing license, saltwater fishing license, offshore landing permit, or other required authorization. The operator may refuse to retain fish that are out of season, undersized, over the legal limit, or otherwise prohibited.
Catch, Equipment, and Personal Property
The captain and crew will determine safe and lawful fish handling practices, including release of protected or noncompliant fish. Fishing gear may be provided unless otherwise stated. Passengers may be responsible for damage to or loss of rods, reels, tackle, electronics, safety equipment, or other vessel property caused by misuse or negligence. The operator is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.
Risk Acknowledgment and Liability
Offshore fishing involves inherent risks, including changing weather, waves, vessel movement, slippery surfaces, hooks, knives, marine life, sun exposure, seasickness, and boarding or disembarking hazards. By booking or participating in the trip, each passenger acknowledges these risks and agrees to act responsibly for their own safety and the safety of others. Passengers should disclose any medical conditions that could affect their ability to safely participate.
Acceptance of Terms
By making a reservation, paying a deposit, boarding the vessel, or participating in the offshore fishing trip, the customer and all passengers agree to these Terms & Conditions. These terms are intended as general business terms and should be reviewed by the operator and, if needed, a qualified legal professional before use.
